USC was again at the ISS World Expo in Las Vegas

Of course, USC was once again prominent at the annual ISS World Expo in Las Vegas. No impressions from Jan-Hein or Maarten this time. No, this year we let our American colleagues Courtney Reynard and Katey Baltensperger talk about their trade show experiences.

What did USC’s participation consist of?

We hosted a Customer Appreciation dinner for more than sixty customers in town before the show began. In addition to many American tables, Maarten and Jan-Hein had a European table packed with customers. Nice to see such an international company together.
Prior to the opening of the ISS World Expo, we had organized a round table session. A key topic was maximizing return on investment (ROI) through the use of our storage containers. Many visitors to the exhibition attended this before coming to our booth. That immediately provided a good topic of conversation.’

Position

‘We had a booth where we presented our models, the Z-Box with different compartments. The new storage containers featured USC’s colors and logo. Visitors could watch a video at our booth that showed the quick installation and special functions of the containers. Interested parties also had the opportunity to walk through the container and get a feel for the materials used and the interior space.

How did visitors respond?

Our credo was, is and always will be “people for profit” and that was greatly appreciated by the visitors. We really consider our customers as friends who stop by to catch up again. We were also able to welcome many new visitors who sometimes came to our booth two or three times to have a good look at everything or to ask questions.
What we noticed well was that people were impressed with our pricing, the durability of our products and the options for customization, coloring and size of the storage containers. Our visitors could clearly see what sets us apart from the competition and why we won the ISS Best of Business award for “Best Self-Storage Container for the twelfth year in a row!

What was the atmosphere like at the expo?

‘The Expo was buzzing with many visitors and activities on both days. It was an exciting environment that offered great opportunities to start or further expand a storage business. This fair, if you work or want to work in this sector, is definitely not to be missed.

Was the show successful for USC?

‘We received many visitors including current customers and some potential customers. We had interesting conversations with some people who wanted to start their businesses and just had to wait for the necessary permits. We were able to share that excitement with them. We have also made renewed contacts with people who have bought from us in the past and now want to expand. A big part of the show’s success for us is experiencing how much people appreciate our containers and how much they want to work with us in person.
